Located in the heart of the mineable oil sands of Alberta, the Hammerstone Quarry is one of the largest limestone quarries in Western Canada. The Quarry provides a year-round source of quality limestone aggregates that are essential to the growth, operational sustainability and environmental performance of the Alberta oil sands industry.

Hammerstone is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Parts Runner to join our team. This role requires a strong attention to detail, good physical condition, and a commitment to workplace safety standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for Picking up and Delivering parts from/to Fort McMurray Area and Hammerstone Quarry as well as working together with the procurement department to maintain inventory integrity.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Delivery Driver, with a strong focus on safety and timely service
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in inventory or warehouse-related roles, including stock handling and organization
  • At least 2 years’ experience operating a forklift
  • Valid Forklift Operator Certificate
  • Class 5 Driver’s License (Non-GDL) with ability to provide a 5-year driver’s abstract
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be local to Fort McMurray
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented, capable of working independently while meeting objectives and deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Drive regularly between Fort McMurray and Hammerstone Quarry to deliver parts and consumables safely and efficiently
  • Support the Maintenance Department by preparing and organizing work packages required for assigned jobs
  • Operate a forklift onsite to load and unload parts, materials, and supplies
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance and Purchasing teams to help optimize inventory levels and stock availability
  • Perform inventory counts and assist with stock control and organization
  • Safely and repetitively lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs

  • 6am to 6pm
  • 7 days on / 7 days off
