Hospitalist opportunity in Rio Rancho, NM

Great opportunity to join a well-established team of 27 physicians and 4 advanced practitioners at our Rio Rancho location. Our team comprises clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds. As a smaller community hospital, we work closely with our hospital partners to make meaningful changes.

Position Highlights:

• Hospitalists do respond to codes but are not part of the Rapid Response team.
• Procedures that are required:
  • Paracentesis (2 per month)
  • Lumbar puncture (usually less than one per month)
  • Thoracenteses, small bore chest tube (2 per month. But we can always consult a Pulmonologist for this).

Qualifications:

• Board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in New Mexico.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
