Role Summary

The HSE Performance & Systems Analyst supports the development, improvement, and day-to-day use of HSE & Carbon digital products with a strong emphasis on Production Operations and Environmental processes, data, and reporting.

This role is a technical business systems analyst within the HSE organization, responsible for translating operational and environmental requirements into effective HSE systems, analytics, and insights.  The ideal candidate will combine operational and/or environmental domain expertise with a practical digital abilities to support the development and use of mastered datasets, analytics, reporting tools, and other digital solutions supporting the HSE & Carbon team.

Role Context & Positioning

This position sits within the HSE Performance & Systems team and is intentionally not a Technology or IT role.

While the role employs digital tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate, its primary accountability is HSE performance, environmental insight, and operational decision support.

The role exists to strengthen the connection between Operations, Environmental teams, and HSE digital solutions, ensuring HSE systems reflect real-world workflows, regulatory needs, and performance requirements.

This position fills a critical capability gap by bringing production and environmental operational perspective directly into HSE P&S. This ensures HSE systems, analytics, and reporting are credible, usable, and aligned with how work is delivered in the field—strengthening safety, environmental performance, and decision making.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for HSE Performance & Systems products, with emphasis on production operations and environmental use cases
  • Support the development, review, and implementation of HSE systems and technical applications
  • Actively support HSE processes and digital tools including but not limited to Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate
  • Partner with Production, Environmental, and HSE team members to understand workflows, data needs, and performance gaps
  • Translate operational and environmental requirements into clear business and system requirements
  • Assist with analysis, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of Microsoft Power Platform solutions
  • Develop and maintain documentation including requirements, process flows, user mentorship, and technical references
  • Troubleshoot system, reporting, and data issues; document solutions and coordinate resolution with appropriate teams
  • Support HSE leadership and project teams with special initiatives, pilots, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Continuously reassess priorities to ensure alignment with HSE, Environmental, and Operations needs

Crucial Education & Experience

  • Approximately 3+ years of meaningful experience, including one or more of the following:
    • Production Operations
    • Environmental compliance, reporting, or monitoring
    • HSE field or operational support roles
  • Practical understanding of upstream production operations and/or environmental data, reporting, and regulatory processes
  • Experience working with business systems, reporting tools, or digital platforms in an operational or HSE context
  • Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate successfully with field, operational, and technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to analyze problems, document requirements, and support data driven solutions
  • Practical experience with data concepts, logic, or scripting (e.g., SQL, formulas,  queries, workflows)
  • Experience working in a collaborative and/or virtual team environment
  • Growth mindset with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving tools and business needs

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience supporting environmental reporting (air, water, waste, emissions, regulatory submissions)
  • Experience working with production data, operational KPIs, or field reporting workflows
  • Solid understanding of the Snowflake data cloud platform, including the ability to navigate curated data views and support analytics and reporting use cases
  • Exposure to governed application and data lifecycle management processes, such as DBT‑based view development and controlled promotion of data changes
  • Familiarity with source control or managed development processes used to promote changes across environments (e.g., versioning, testing, stage to production)
  • Prior exposure to HSE management systems or operational digital tools such as Intelex ACTS
  • Curiosity about building deeper capability in HSE analytics, automation, and digital enablement
  • Experience coding in SQL, python, or other languages
  • Experience with digital development processes and code management systems (git/pull/push/test/stage/prod...)

How much do we pay (Base)? $90,000- $125,000
