Route Driver (Sales and Service Rep)

Safety-Kleen in London, ON is seeking a Sales & Service Rep (SSR) to join their safety conscious team! The SSR will be responsible for both daily waste pickup and delivery services at customer sites, along with executing sales-driven tasks such as upselling, cross-selling and generating new leads for SK products and services. You will drive our sustainability mission by providing excellent service to our customers while promoting and delivering Safety-Kleen products and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Health & Safety Compliance:

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Follow all Federal, Provincial, and local environmental and transportation regulations (TDG)
• Safely operated company vehicles in accordance with regulatory requirements.
   

Route Service /Operations:

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe/compliant manner.
• Driving the Box Truck to different customer sites - collection of waste.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pick-ups in a timely manner.
• Transporting waste back to a branch.
• May visit 10-12 customer sites per day.
• Picking up/delivering waste services, making drop offs to our disposal facilities. 
• Switch out 15- & 30-gallon drums of solutions.
• Service parts washer machines and clean out sediment from sinks.
• Services automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing type businesses.

Sales Related: 

• Upselling products/ additional services, generating new sales leads.
• Sell additional products and services into existing accounts.
• Maintain accurate records using Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM) 
• Actively prospect for new accounts in assigned route.
•  Achieve monthly sales targets.
• Work with route drivers to convert new sales opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver customer quotes.
• Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Motivated and dedicated to strengthen, maintain and build customer relationships.

   

• Valid Class DZ license highly preferred.
• Experience driving straight trucks (manual transmission) highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG).
• Environmental services or hazardous waste experience are highly preferred.
• Familiarity Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is an asset.
• Physically able to perform job duties.
