Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Tax Controversy Attorney, you will be at the forefront of our company's tax controversy matters. You will be expected to:
1. Manage all aspects of tax controversies, including audits, appeals, and litigation.
2. Provide legal advice on tax matters and represent the company before tax authorities and courts.
3. Develop strategies to resolve tax controversies in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
4. Collaborate with the tax team to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
5. Review and analyze tax laws, regulations, and court decisions to stay abreast of changes and ensure the company's compliance.
Job Details
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the New York Bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax law with a focus on tax controversy matters.
4. Exceptional knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
5. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex tax controversies.
