We’re seeking a Robotics data collector to support data collecting for our next-generation household robotics program. Using a VR headset and joystick-based controls, you’ll remotely operate robots in our testing facility and guide them through routine household tasks such as folding laundry, loading dishwashers, light meal prep, and general cleaning. This role involves repeating tasks multiple times to ensure accurate data collection, so comfort with consistent, repetitive workflows is essential.

• Must be able to commit to a set work schedule. This is a recurring short-term project, and consistent attendance is essential.

• Operate robots using a VR headset, joystick, and voice commands - Gamers are strongly preferred

• Ability to lift 75lb to get the robot into a standing position and shutting it down

• Execute household tasks through remote robotic control

• Perform tasks repeatedly with consistency and accuracy

• Follow operational procedures to ensure quality data collection

• Maintain focus while working in VR for extended periods

• Communicate clearly with onsite staff regarding issues or observations

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

• Physically able to sit, stand, and use arms/hands for long periods

• Comfortable working in VR for extended durations

• Upper-intermediate English proficiency or higher

Ability to commute to Hayes Valley by public transit, walking, or bicycle (No parking available; street parking rotations in this area take significant time.)

Data Entry

When working in a Data Entry position through Bluecrew, you may be expected to perform any and all of the following duties:

  • Working independently or as a team to operate a computer or other peripheral equipment
  • Sitting or standing for the duration of the shift
  • Assist with general troubleshooting of computers or other digital applications
  • You could be working in an office environment, or in a warehouse environment
  • There may be a specific dress code, but if it is not listed, we recommend going in business casual for your first day until you have had a chance to establish the company preference with your supervisor
