Infectious Disease Physician opening - Des Moines, IAPosition Details

• Full-time, employed position
• Join a well-established team of 7 Infectious Disease physicians and 2 APPs
• Office attached to the primary hospital
• Inpatient consults and follow-up at 3 hospitals within a 10-mile radius
• Outpatient Infectious Disease consultation and follow-up
• Large built-in referral base from extensive primary care network
• Participate in a robust antimicrobial stewardship program
• Involvement in antimicrobial stewardship and e-consult services at affiliated sites
• Teaching opportunities with residents and medical students
• Broad case mix including traditional and immunocompromised patients (including kidney transplant)
Requirements
• MD or DO
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Infectious Disease
• Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted Iowa medical license
• Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
• J-1 waiver sponsorship available
