Job Details

We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of civil litigation experience to join our growing litigation practice. This role offers the opportunity to handle meaningful litigation work in a collaborative environment with direct involvement in case strategy and client representation.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing civil litigation matters from initial pleadings through resolution and be comfortable handling court appearances, depositions, written discovery, and motion practice.

Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda
Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations
Take and defend depositions
Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed
Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and insurers
Develop litigation strategy and assist with trial preparation
Maintain accurate billing and case management records

Qualifications
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active North Carolina bar license in good standing
Minimum 3 years of civil litigation experience
Experience in one or more of the following preferred:
Construction litigation
Commercial litigation
Products liability
Professional liability
Premises liability
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience handling discovery, depositions, and motion practice
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
