Job Description


Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced RN to join our Community Based Acute Treatment (CBAT) Program, Inpatient Psychiatry Stepdown 24 hour program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing psychiatric nursing care for patients ages 8-17 years
  • Administering and monitoring medications as part of treatment plans.
  • Overseeing and managing therapeutic milieu and overseeing care provided by Milieu Counselor colleagues.
  • Participating in individualized treatment planning and supervise the implementation and revision of plans.
  • Utilizing interpersonal skills to establish and maintain therapeutic relationships.
  • Providing patient/family education on aspects of care including symptom management and coping.
  • Working as a team player and functioning as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • 32 hours; rotating days/evenings, occasional nights, every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • A bachelor's degree in nursing

Experience:
  • 1+ years of experience in a behavioral health setting. Inpatient and pediatric RN experience preferred.

Licensure/Certifications
  • Current Massachusetts license as a Registered Nurse (RN)

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
