Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A speech-language pathologist (SLP) position is available in a school setting located in Newark, NJ. This contract opportunity offers a part-time schedule of 3.5 days per week, starting in late April and continuing through June 15th. The role focuses on pediatric speech and language services within the educational environment, emphasizing collaboration to support student communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students, addressing a variety of pediatric communication disorders.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments and gather caseload details to track student progress and adjust therapy goals accordingly.
- Document therapy sessions and maintain compliance with school and healthcare guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the schools overall efforts to support student development.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) certification with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience working in school and pediatric settings.
- Knowledge of healthcare principles related to speech-language therapy.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage caseload details effectively and meet contractual deadlines.
