The Opportunity:
As a Maintenance Electrical Tech, you’ll play a key role in our full line manufacturing operation. Based on your experience, you will support the facility maintenance program while helping drive productivity and meet customer commitments.
- Complete preventative maintenance, projects, and emergency repairs to increase machine up time.
- Monitor equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
- Perform routine maintenance, review schematics/diagrams, and basic troubleshooting to guide repairs
- Perform both routine and emergency repairs to equipment to keep equipment producing safely
- Communicate effectively with teammates and supervisors to resolve issues and meet goals
- Follow instructions closely and maintain strong attention to detail to support machine up time

What you need to succeed:
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team setting or individually
- Must be available to work a modified shift in a 3-shift operation and overtime as required.
- 2-3 years proven and consistent work background in electro automation system installation and troubleshooting experience
- Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial/electronic controls and power transmission systems.
- Understands hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to install and set up both A/C and D/C drives
- PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical, and electrical aptitude.
- Able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings
- Working knowledge of encoders and various types of sensors
- Working knowledge of power transmission equipment, bearings, pneumatics and hydraulics
- Basic welding skills
- Familiar with pumps; both air and electrical
- Able to install and troubleshoot 3 phase motor control circuits
- Knowledge of various types of sensors and limit switches
- Consistent and dependable attendance
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment that is hot and humid in the Summer/Fall.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions, involving lift, push/pull up to 50 lbs., navigate stairs, stand, walk, and bend throughout the entire shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
