About the role
Own an SME portfolio in a high performing, supportive team where your impact is visible and your career can genuinely progress. This role suits an experienced Insurance Broker or a professional from the wider financial services sector ready to step into a client facing broking role. You will manage and grow an established SME portfolio while working closely with a collaborative team that values balance, development, and long term relationships.
Duties
- Manage and develop relationships with SME clients
- Assess risk and design tailored insurance solutions
- Negotiate with insurers to achieve optimal outcomes
- Build strong partnerships with underwriters
- Manage portfolio budgets, business plans, and debtors
- Support new business growth through pipeline development

Skills and experience
- Experience in insurance broking, insurance operations, financial services or administration
- Strong client relationship and communication skills
- High attention to detail and documentation experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification or willingness to complete within six months(company supported)
Note: this is a 12-month contract to cover the maternity leave with genuine potential to transition into a permanent role
