We are located in Cheektowaga, NY, in an air-conditioned facility, and we are seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician for 1st shfit.
Hours are: Monday - Friday 7AM to 3PM.
Pay Range: $35 per hour, depending on experience.
Sign-on Bonus: $2,000 sign-on bonus is available with this position for an external candidate hire!

This position has the responsibility for providing the necessary services to repair and maintain the facility and equipment, to enable the manufacture of products and meet customer and internal specifications with regard to quality, timeliness and cost effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and industrial electrical background with extensive hands-on experience with preventive and corrective maintenance in the industry. The ability to diagnose and solve problems on mechanic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric systems is required.
Position Overview

Effectively troubleshoot & repair equipment and adhere to maintenance documentation requirements

Actively engage in workplace safety improvement initiatives

Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.

Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.

Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.

Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.

Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices.

Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.

Must be able to lift 50lbs frequently.

Record repairs and maintenance performed.

Cut and weld metal to repair broken parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment.
- Order parts / supplies as needed.
Job Requirements
- High school or equivalent technical training is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of machine repair and industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
- Strong preference for advanced skills in both machine repair and PLC control systems repair and maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose machine problems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills to coordinate schedules with machine operators and troubleshoot problems.

Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.

Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.

Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
- Computer skills required (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Knowledge of flexographic presses is a plus!
