Mill Manager
Job Description
The Mill Manager will lead the Arcadia OSB facility located in Simsboro, Louisiana. As part of Weyerhaeuser Wood Products, this role reports to the Panels Manufacturing Director. The Mill Manager is accountable for safety, culture, reliable manufacturing operations, and on-time, in-full delivery of products to customers while ensuring site business objectives are achieved.
This role fosters an innovative and engaged culture, leads within a high-performance work system, manages product cost and inventory, and develops future leaders. The Arcadia OSB facility is a non-union operation with approximately 140 employees.
Key Functions
Engages team members and leaders in safely manufacturing oriented strand board (OSB) products that meet customer needs while driving improvement in key business metrics
Ensures an injury free culture is created through committed leaders and involved team members, supported by strong safety systems
Coaches, develops, and leads leaders and team members in the overall manufacturing process
Fosters a culture of trust, engagement, and inclusion that supports employee retention and high morale
Holds ultimate accountability for reliability, quality, financial, procurement, productivity, environmental, and other site stewardship responsibilities
Partners to ensure effective employee relations, talent development, and consistent application of policies and practices across the site

Ensures business and individual goal setting processes such as capital plans, expense budgets, safety strategic plans, and performance management plans are developed and executed with excellence
Minimum 8 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven record of positive results in safety, quality, productivity, cost control, and people development

Able to work flexible hours as needed in a mill environment
Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, a technical discipline (engineering or similar), or forestry/wood products, or equivalent experience
Experience developing and working in high performance work systems
Working knowledge of Lean and innovation tools and processes
Previous Mill Manager experience leading and developing a strong team culture
What We Offer:
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $144,790-$217,185 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 25% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our contribution equal to 5% of your eligible pay.
Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
