Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and update Precon and Construction Master Schedules.
  • Lead the Constructability Review process during each phase of the design process.
  • Develop site logistic plans and ensure the site is always kept in a clean, organized and secure manner.
  • Generate, implement and manage Job Site Specific Safety, Environmental and Quality Programs.
  • Conduct Pre-Task meetings with all critical trades prior to commencing field work.
  • Ensure all necessary permits, licenses, inspections etc. are obtained in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the accuracy of basic surveying, layout and field measurements – verify the accuracy of lines, corners, elevations, grades, alignments, angles, positions and distances.
  • Work closely with the project team and trade partners to ensure work plans, materials, tools, processes, and activities are pre-planned and executed correctly & in accordance with company standards.
  • Actively participate in and chair the OAC meetings.
  • Constantly measures the performance of subcontractors and implement strategies to ensure quality, compliance and timeliness. Take responsibility for proactively eliminating claims.
  • Anticipate potential challenges/issues with work interference, schedule difficulties, constructability, staffing, etc.. Proactively develop solutions and implement corrective plans/actions.
  • Manage project costs, schedule and forecast labor, material & equipment on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain written, daily log and progress photos of all activities on the jobsite
  • Always promote the highest level of professionalism and ethics.
  • Provide leadership in training Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, Foreman and Field Crews on company procedures and construction methods and actively participates in the improvement of the company.
  • Build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with all owners, subcontractors, owners’ reps, architects, engineers, suppliers, inspectors, and other employees assigned to the project.
  • Always promote the highest level of professionalism and ethics.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma (any additional experience a plus)
  • 5+ years of commercial construction experience at a General Contractor
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent supervising project teams
  • Extensive experience with commercial tenant improvements (cleanroom, lab, advanced technology, and/or healthcare project experience strongly preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower, etc.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements and OSHA standards and willingness to take classes to further knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Programs, MS Project, and other project management software
