Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position during the 2026/2027 school year at a specialized high school program in Ludlow, MA. This role supports the Compass High Program, designed for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other learning differences. The program emphasizes personalized education and skill-building for independence outside traditional classroom settings.
Location:
- Ludlow, MA (assignment site; main client office is in West Springfield)
Position Details:
- Contract term: Approximately August 27, 2026 June 22, 2027
- Hours per week: 32.5
- Caseload: High school students with ASD or learning differences
- Supervision responsibility: Overseeing a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure and credentials meeting all state requirements for school-based SLPs
- Experience working with high school students, particularly those with ASD or learning differences
- Ability to supervise SLPA staff effectively
- Familiarity with individualized, supportive educational programs in specialized settings
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language services tailored to the needs of students in a specialized high school program
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to support student progress
- Supervise and mentor SLPA in delivering effective therapy services
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and school regulations
