How you'll make an impact

In this role, you’ll guide account teams and clients through financial decision-making processes using advanced tools and insights. You’ll analyze complex data, prepare detailed reports, and provide actionable recommendations to help clients manage costs and funding levels effectively. You’ll also mentor team members, ensuring they’re equipped to deliver exceptional service. Your expertise will contribute to measurable ROI for clients and strengthen Gallagher’s reputation as a trusted partner.

 

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports tracking client performance, expenses, renewals, funding levels, and rates, and address abnormal findings with Account Management teams and clients.
  • Analyze complex carrier data and provide strategic recommendations to support rate negotiations and funding decisions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource to branch offices, contributing to client retention, ROI, and market competitiveness.
  • Train, mentor, assign, monitor, and peer review work of Financial Benefits Consulting team members; oversee client and service team communications.
  • Maintain proficiency in proprietary models, underwriting tools, internal systems, and ensure compliance with departmental protocols.
  • Review and interpret contract documents (e.g., plan summaries, administrative agreements) and guide subordinates in contract analysis.
  • Independently manage client accounts, escalated service issues, special projects, and broad assignments requiring originality and best-practice development.
  • Support presentations, communications, and process improvements by introducing new ideas that enhance client deliverables and team efficiency.

About You

You’re a confident problem-solver with a passion for helping clients succeed. You have a strong background in employee benefits and financial analysis, and you’re skilled at using tools like Microsoft Excel to deliver results. You’re organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in fast-paced environments. You enjoy mentoring others and building positive relationships with colleagues and clients.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree (preferably in finance or math) and 3+ years of experience in health and benefits on the broker or carrier side.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with carrier reporting systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage client accounts independently.
  • A solutions-focused approach to challenges and a commitment to continuous learning.

 

Required: Bachelor's degree and 3 years within employee benefits field in an underwriting capacity. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.

Preferred: Advanced Excel Skills. Math or Finance degree preferred.

Behaviors: Detail oriented; strong analytical skills and good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to multi-task to meet deadlines with quality and accurate deliverables. Must maintain favorable relationships with clients, vendors and other office staff.

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
