What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a Store Attendant – MRO to provide operational support within our Storeroom. This person is responsible for performing numerous computer transactions, receiving, checking, stocking, disbursing and delivery of maintenance and related materials processed through Maintenance Stores. Move and ship products as directed and perform all functions in accordance with specified guidelines and instructions, while exercising safety for oneself and others
This is a service role, working directly with all departments to support requests for consumables and items in the storeroom. Ability to work independently and to be a self-starter is imperative. Computer knowledge and keyboard skills are necessary.
What You Will Do:
- Receive and verify incoming materials.
- Transact material into and out of stock using SAP Plant Maintenance processes.
- Maintain MRO storage areas including regular sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and maintaining order. Remove trash as needed.
- Cycle count and adjust material as required.
- Locate, pick, count, and disburse requested parts and materials.
- May deliver parts and materials to specific locations as requested.
- Print work orders, gather parts, and stage in kitting area for skilled trades to pick up.
- Perform searches on MRO inventories to help find required equivalents or assist others.
- Required to operate fork truck, scooter, hand trucks, trucks, vans, etc. to pick up and deliver material. Will train internally even if already having a license.
- Able to safely manage large, heavy spare parts, up to 35 lbs. Over 35 lbs. should request assistance.
- Perform as required clerical, scanning and filing functions.
- Maintain a secure stockroom and limit escorted entry to only management associates with a need to be in Stores.
- Assign physical location to stock materials as required.
- Perform duties in conformance with the departmental standard operating procedures.
- Practice and follow all required safety regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of and follow all safety regulations in effect.
- Engage in learning activity to upgrade skill sets, both interpersonal and technical.
- Understand, interpret, and act on necessary forms of visual management systems.
- Perform all duties as assigned by supervision.
- Participate as member of team to accomplish goals. Communicate; resolve conflicts at lowest possible level.
- Cooperate, collaborate, and effectively utilize cross-functional resources.
- Interact with other teams to accomplish goals.
- Communicate, provide feedback, and use collaborative decision-making.
- Provide operational information to upper management. Receive feedback from upper management and collaborate to achieve goals.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools to open crates and packaging.
Skills/Requirements
What You will Need to Bring to the Table:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Manufacturing, Purchasing, Inventory or previous Storeroom Attendant experience preferred.
- Proficient using computer systems and various related software.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities regularly.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
