About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief of Staff to join its small, mission-driven team. The successful candidate will work closely with the founder on a diverse range of strategic and operational priorities, including planning, special projects, fundraising support, and the execution of company-wide initiatives. This role is pivotal in taking ownership of high-impact projects across various functions, running and scaling internal systems, and ensuring the efficient execution of the company's operations. The Chief of Staff will also be instrumental in implementing and leveraging advanced AI tools to create a highly productive, AI-native operating environment and will support the company's mission of modernizing government technology to enhance service delivery. Applicants for the Chief of Staff position should have a background of at least 4 years in generalist roles such as BizOps, Product, Operations, Strategy, Consulting, or similar, with a minimum of 1 year experience in an early or growth-stage VC-backed tech startup. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, be a quick learner, and have a proven track record of managing and delivering cross-functional initiatives. A deep commitment to the mission of improving public-sector systems through modern technology is essential. Preferred qualifications include experience with AI tools, automation platforms, or coding assistants, as well as a background in product-facing or technical-adjacent roles. The role requires a candidate who is comfortable in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment and is based in New York City, with a willingness to work on-site 5 days a week.
